FAQ

Answers grounded in the product

This page is reviewed whenever KRED’s rules change. For a question about your account or your campaign, write to contact@trykred.com.

Earnings and withdrawals

How are my earnings calculated?

Each campaign shows its CPM (earnings per 1,000 views), any thresholds and its caps before you take part. On a CPM campaign, your gross earnings are your eligible views multiplied by the CPM, then divided by 1,000, within the stated limits.

When are my views counted?

For an eligible post on a live campaign, KRED counts the views every day for the 30 days after it’s published. Each new count can add to your earnings as long as the campaign’s caps haven’t been reached.

Why is part of my balance pending?

Each earning stays unavailable for withdrawal during the holding period shown in your Wallet. This period lets us deal with a post that’s deleted, doesn’t follow the rules or has invalid views before it can be withdrawn.

What’s the withdrawal threshold?

You can request a withdrawal once your available balance reaches €25. Before your first request, you need to set up Stripe and complete the required tax information. The fees and the net amount paid out are shown before you confirm.

Taking part and posts

Which platforms can I use?

It depends on the campaign. Its page shows which platforms are open: TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. The matching account must be connected before you submit.

Who keeps the rights to my video?

Usage rights and permissions are set out in the campaign terms and in the contract with the brand. Read these documents before taking part: KRED doesn’t replace those terms with a general rule.

Why is my post under review?

Unusual activity or a point in the brief may need a human check. New earnings may be paused during this check. Earnings already credited stay visible, and you’ll get a notification when the status changes.

Can I use the same video for several campaigns?

No. A video can only be submitted to one KRED campaign. To take part in another campaign, post a different video that follows its own brief.

Income and tax returns

Do I need to declare my KRED income?

In France, income from commercial influencer activity must be declared from the very first euro. The rules that apply depend on your situation and your activity. KRED provides an earnings statement, but not personal tax advice: check with the Urssaf (the French social contributions agency), impots.gouv.fr or a professional.

For brands

What does the brand pay?

Before funding, KRED summarises the budget set aside for creator earnings, the platform fee and, where applicable, VAT. The campaign budget and the platform fee remain two separate amounts.

How are views measured?

KRED counts the views of eligible posts every day for the 30 days following their publication. The dashboard distinguishes the views observed from the views that actually generated earnings.

What happens if a video gets few views?

On a CPM campaign, spend depends on eligible views and the stated rules. Any thresholds and caps are set before launch; they are not added after publication.

What happens to unspent budget?

Before the campaign ends, the brand can request a refund of the funded budget that has not been spent, under the conditions shown. When the campaign closes, the remaining funded amount becomes a KRED credit balance valid for 12 months. The launch platform fee is non-refundable.

How can participation by creators be framed?

The brief sets the platforms, the deliverables and the observable rules of the campaign. Criteria must be verifiable from the post or from the information requested before participation.

What rights does the brand obtain over the videos?

Usage rights are not implied. They are set out in the campaign terms and in the contract concluded with each creator. The brand must define the intended use before launch.

Which platforms are available?

KRED supports TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. A campaign only opens the platforms selected and configured before it is published.

What exactly do you get when you buy a video?

A licence for that video only, granted through a rights grant addendum concluded directly with the creator: non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, on all media known at the date of signature, paid advertising included, with the right to crop, edit, subtitle or translate the video. Non-exclusive means the creator remains free to use their video and to license it to others. KRED is not a party to this addendum. The scope of the rights granted is shown before payment; the full text of the addendum is provided to the brand on signature, at the time of payment, and then remains available from the “Purchased” tab.

What documents does the brand receive for a video purchase?

Two separate documents for a single payment. A KRED invoice, which covers only the matchmaking platform fee: it is the only tax document for the purchase. And a purchase receipt, which confirms payment of the price paid to the creator without being an invoice — KRED does not issue any document on behalf of a creator.

Can a purchased video be run as a paid ad despite its music?

The creator warrants that they hold the rights to the elements included in the video, music included, for all uses authorised by the addendum. Please note, however: a sound taken from a publishing platform’s commercial library is not necessarily licensed for paid advertising outside that platform. Check the soundtrack before running a paid ad, or replace it — the addendum allows the video to be modified.
